Evie scouts the northern woods for a troublesome ogre. But there are other creatures besides ogres lurking in the forest!

It took some time, with a lot of shouts and cursing from the leader, and a lot of bickering among his crew, but they finally figured out a way to carry me back to their camp without untying me.

Cold hands rolled me over onto my front, my bare flesh pressed back into the snow yet again.

A long skinny tree limb was threaded under my wrists and laid along my back.  Then many cold gnarly hands used many yards of rope to lash my body securely to the tree limb.

It took a lot of trial and error.  The first time, the ropes were so loose they couldn’t even lift me off the ground.  The second time, a rope they put around my neck threatened to choke me.

They finally figured out they needed to cinch ropes from around my shoulders and chest to the tree.  The ropes stretched and bit into my flesh, but they held my body tight and I was lifted off the ground. It was incredibly uncomfortable, but at least I wasn’t lying in the snow any more.

They barely lifted me, anyway.  I dangled so close to the ground that I could feel the cold on my breasts.  They brushed against any grass or brush that stood more than a few inches tall.  I had to hold my head up just to see anything other than their feet moving along the forest floor.

“You gits ‘bout ready?”  The leader snarled.  “I gots big plans fer our humie pet t’nite.”
