One-track minds…

Evie scouts the northern woods for a troublesome ogre. But there are other creatures besides ogres lurking in the forest!

‘Ropes??’ I thought, suddenly alarmed.  Getting untangled from the net while trying to reason with notoriously unreasonable creatures was one thing…I couldn’t let them get me fully restrained and vulnerable until I had a better handle on the situation!

Wait!” I cried, writhing in the net.  “You don’t need to tie me up!  I was just trying to help you!  There’s an ogre in these woods, and I don’t want to see you all get hurt.  I’m no threat to you!”

“Youse?  A threat t’ us?”  The snotling leader cackled.  “We’s th’ only threat ‘n dese woods, girlie.  We’s da threats to youse!  Ain’t no ogre ‘round ‘ere none, neither.  This’ our  woods.”

Hands gripped me while the net lifted off my lower legs.  Other hands held the net taut over my upper legs and body, keeping me well controlled.  My booted ankles were brought together and wrapped in coils of rope.  I tried kicking with my feet, to which the leader replied, “tighter!”

‘At least they’re not stripping my boots off,’  I thought. That was a good sign.  I’d heard stories of snotling depravity, especially with human women.  ‘I’m going to be ok,’ I thought for a moment.  I just needed to be patient, and wait for them to make a mistake or leave an opening to escape.

Those hopes dimmed a little, though, when one of the little creatures grasped my inner leg and squeezed it.  “Hehe, ya think the bossll give us a taste, eh??”
