“I don’t trust you, Laressa.” Ari chided. “So before you unwrap the bimbo, let’s get you secure.” Ari tossed manacles with a short chain toward Laressa’s feet. “Be a lamb, and put those on.”
Laressa glared back at Ari, but bent down to retrieve the manacles and slowly put them on her wrists. They clicked closed securely, and Laressa noted there were holes bored in them for locks to be attached. She looked up at Ari just in time to catch the locks thrown at her.
By the time Laressa had the manacles locked, Ari was approaching her again with an iron collar on a long chain. Following the length of the chain on the floor, Laressa could see where the end was affixed to a bolt set into the rock wall. Laressa sighed, and nodded to Ari in acceptance.
“Ohh…let’s have you kneel for this bit, shall we?” Ari asked with a twisted grin and evil eyes.
Laressa grimaced, but silently complied. She sank to her knees and bowed her head for the collar to be latched around her neck. She sighed bitterly, but knew Evie would soon be free.
“Alright, that should keep you secure…for now.” Ari sneered. “Go ahead and free the girl.”
Laressa carefully unwrapped the face of the captive Ari had released to her. She didn’t even have the girl’s face half unwrapped when she realized she’d been tricked. It wasn’t Evie.
Laressa gritted her teeth. She wanted to rage, to scream, to lash out, go berserk. But at the moment, she knew it wouldn’t do any good. It wouldn’t do Evie any good, and it wouldn’t do this poor girl any good either. She was going to have to calmly let this play out for the time being.
“Ari…” she muttered, while continuing to release the terrified blonde girl before her. “I should have known you would pull something like this.”
“You know…yeah, you should have,” Ari retorted. “What was it you told the crown? I was ‘irredeemable?’ Turns out you were right.” She smirked. “But it’s kinda worked out for me.”
“How so?” Laressa asked, stalling for time while nudging the naked blonde girl toward the exit.
“Well, now I have two targets for my ire,” Ari grinned wickedly. “Double the pleasure for me, double the torture for you.” Ari walked away slowly, saying “don’t go anywhere,” with a laugh. When Ari returned, she was dragging another tightly wrapped bundle by its feet.
This time, Laressa could clearly identify Evie’s shape – how could she have mistaken the modest curves of the other blonde for the generous breasts and hips of her favorite pet??
“That’s right,” Ari taunted. “This one is your girl. By the way, she could hear everything that just happened out here. She heard all the nice things you said about her – blech!” Ari made a gesture like vomiting. “But she also heard you foolishly trade yourself for that other weakling. So she already knows that you failed her – you failed to rescue her – and you’re both all mine, now.”
“What…what are you going to do, Ari?” Laressa said levelly.
“Well, you should know Lar…I’m going to do what you would have done back when you still had enough pride and self-respect for anyone to fear you…” Ari let her voice trail for dramatic effect.
“I’m going to torture the blonde bimbo in front of you…and I’m going to torture you in front of her…taking turns, back and forth, endlessly, until you both are begging to be released. At that point, I might even keep one of you around before disposing of the other.”
Ari paused, watching the expressions playing out over Laressa’s face.
“Doesn’t that sound like great fun, Lar?”

Later that evening, Laressa strode boldly into Ari’s lair, the Latina girl still slung over her shoulder and re-wrapped. Eventually, she had re-gagged and re-blindfolded the girl – again with Evie’s workout gear. Laressa had grown quite tired of the girl’s blubbering and begging.
Ari was standing near the back wall of her lair, holding up a tightly wrapped and motionless bundle in the distinct shape of a curvy woman. She watched Laressa approach, and flashed Laressa a wickedly smug grin with the cocky air of one who has triumphed over a nemesis.
“I brought back your messenger girl,” Laressa said, depositing the wriggling bundle on the floor of the lair. “And here I am, as you requested.” Laressa nodded toward the shapely captive Ari held. “So let Evie go, now, and let’s be on with whatever this is.”
Ari cackled shrilly. “Oh, how the mighty have fallen! Laressa, you used to be so fearsome and intimidating, and now you’re – well, frankly, you’re pathetic…and still trying to make demands!”
“Are you going to talk me to death, or are we going to do this?” Laressa asked impatiently.
This made Ari laugh even harder. “Oh Laressa, if the crown could see you now. Ok, fine, but I want to be crystal-clear about this agreement first, ok?” Ari paused. “You, Laressa Silverspun, are unequivocally surrendering to me, in exchange for…” Ari looked at the bundle in her arms distastefully to emphasize the inequity she saw in the trade. “This…this little blonde bimbo.”
“I’m surprised you know what unequivocally means,” Laressa said dryly. “But yes, I am.”
“Damn.” Ari said gravely. “You really have lost it, haven’t you?” she added derisively.
“I’ve gained more than you could ever dream,” Laressa said with a sad smile. “And that beautiful girl,” she said with a nod to Ari’s captive. “is worth more than you’ll ever be worth to anyone.”
Ari snorted. “If you say so. I simply see her as proof you’ve gone soft.” She gave the bundled girl a shove. “Our deal is final. In a moment you can unwrap blondie and set her free…but first…”

In a hidden alcove in Ari’s lair, Evie lay helpless on the floor, tightly bundled and anchored to the rock-strewn floor. Her head was still covered, but she discovered she could hear clearly. Cool air on her ear told her that her captor had cut a hole in the wrapping there. Now she knew why.
Evie could hear everything happening in the outer chamber of the lair – she was just helpless to do anything about it. She heard Laressa enter, heard the conversation – it was the first moment she’d learned her captor’s name was Ari – and she heard Laressa agree to trade herself for the poor hapless girl Ari actually held prisoner out there, not knowing it wasn’t Evie before her.
She screamed as loud as she could to warn Laressa of the ruse, but her mouth was packed so tightly that not a whisper could be heard. She writhed furiously, trying to roll closer to the voices; she even tried to kick at the loose rock about her. She was helpless to stop the transaction.

What better way to beat the midsummer heat than girlfriends in bikinis playing ‘water sports’ at a friend’s house?
It all started when the girls were sunbathing on lounge chairs and Evie doused them all with ice-cold water from a super-soaker gun. Lots of retaliatory splashing later, Evie joined the others in the pool. After Evie begged Kara for forgiveness, Evie floated gently on her back toward Kara, looking up at her girlfriend with a contented grin.
Kara said all was forgiven…but she had a devilish look in her eyes and a devious grin that promised sweet, sweet revenge…
