Kara and Evie: Great Beast of the Mountain pt 2

Kara and Evie have taken a young damsel’s place as tribute to a beast – but irrepressible Evie is a bit distracted.

This is a continuation of a new KarVie mini-story, 9 pages in total, to be published over the next couple weeks. I don’t want to say much more, to avoid spoilers! It follows on from this post:

Kara and Evie: Great Beast of the Mountain pt 1

Kara and Evie dropped their weapons, and two guards bound their wrists behind their backs.

The first two goons let go of Jane, the redheaded woman, and stood there leering at the blondes. Jane slapped one of them, shouting: “I’m done with you, Sergio – you treat me like a rag doll!” and stormed off.

The captive adventurers were led to the edge of town. They climbed a rocky outcropping, upon which a sturdy post was set into a marble base, with thick chains dangling from its top.

Under the watchful eye of the captain of the guard and his men, women in robes untied the girls and stripped away their gear and clothing. Then they began coating the girls’ flesh with milky oil.

Evie sniffed. “Is that pig-man semen you’re rubbing into our skin? That’s good for pores!”

One of the old women stared at her. “It’s bacon grease – so you’re more attractive to The Great Beast of the Mountain.”

“Oh…” Evie replied. “Well, they kinda taste the same, you know…or, I guess maybe you wouldn’t know. Kara knows, don’t you Kara?”

Crowns of flowers were placed on their heads and fine decorative chains were wrapped around their bodies. One robed woman teased Kara’s nipples to attention so she could apply circular jeweled clamps.

Approaching Evie and noticing the state of her engorged nipples, the old woman snorted. “Well, someone’s ready and eager.”

Kara and Evie try to save a young damsel from becoming tribute to a beast, and end up taking her place as the offering!

This is the kickoff of a new KarVie mini-story, 9 pages in total, to be published over the next couple weeks. I don’t want to say much more, to avoid spoilers!

Sometimes Kara and Evie go looking for trouble. Sometimes, the trouble finds them. And sometimes…they just kinda stumble into it. In which case, it’s probably Evie’s fault.

They’d barely settled into a booth at the tavern, barely through their third pints of ale, when they heard a commotion outside.

A redheaded young woman was being dragged toward the end of town by a pair of rough characters. Clearly overmatched, she hardly struggled, but tears ran down her pretty face.

“You two!” Kara barked, stepping out to block their path. “Unhand that poor girl right now!”

“Out of the way, stranger,” one warned. “She’s pledged as tribute to the Great Beast of the Mountain.” He tilted his head to the woman. “It’s just Jane’s turn. It’s gotta be done.”

Kara moved her hand to her sword and adjusted her stance. “She’ll not be sacrificed today!”

“Yeah!” Evie piped up. “You wanna sacrifice someone, you can just try and take us instead.”

Someone cleared their throat behind the girls, and they turned slowly to see a dozen armed members of the city guard.

“A noble offer,” their captain said. “On behalf of the town, we accept.”

KarVie: In Lady Eva’s Bathhouse

After they got filthy in the tentacle pit, Lady Eva rewarded Kara and Evie by allowing them to clean up in her private bathhouse.

Earlier in the day, Lady Eva took Kara and Evie on a lengthy tour of her dungeons, including a very messy and slimy session in the tentacle pit:

A number of you commented on what a shame it was for two such lovely blondes to be filthy dirty with tentacle gunk (and other tentacle-related secretions) and that they should be given an opportunity to freshen up.

Apparently, Lady Eva felt the same way, and had the guards take them to the bathhouse. There they mingled with some of Lady Eva’s other slave girls and enjoyed a soothing soak in a hot pool.

The girls shouldn’t get too relaxed and comfortable, however…once they’re cleaned up and relaxed a bit, Lady Eva plans to summon them to her private chambers for more ‘rewarding.’

“C’mon, Kares…he’s so cute! Please, please pleeeeeease can’t we keep him?”

“Eves…don’t be ridiculous…we can’t keep a baby fur dragon as a pet!”

“But I promise to clean up after him, and walk him, and feed…”

“Yeah, that’s what you said about the baby wyvern, and he trashed the apartment…we’ll never get that security deposit back!”

“But…” Evie begged, adopting her cutest little-girl voice. “Mr. Scruffles is already my bwestest fwiend! – (other than you, of course) – I can’t just send him away! Pweeeeeeeease!”

“Eves…” Kara said with practiced patience, pinching the bridge of her nose as yet another Evie-induced headache was coming on strong. “Tell me you didn’t name him already.”

“Yeah! Isn’t Mr. Scruffles just so totes adorbs? He knows his name already, too, don’t you Mr. Scruffles?” She patted the fur dragon’s head while it bobbed happily.

Kara sighed. It was going to take more than ale and elf-buprofen to make this headache go away. “Eves, I’m sorry, sweetie, there’s just no way…”

She looked at Evie’s crestfallen face and her heart broke a little bit. “Tell you what. Let’s find a nice farm or drake clan he can live with, and we can visit Mr…I mean, him, every once in a while.”

“Ok…” Evie mumbled, tears welling in her eyes. She turned to the baby fur dragon and hugged his neck. “I’ll never forget you, Mr. Scruffles…and I hope you never forget me, too…”

KarVie 8/8: Into the Maw(s) of Battle

Kara and Evie rushed into the maws of danger to save the town’s guards from a ferocious hydra.

“This will be interesting…” Evie chirped happily. “I’ve never seduced a hydra before. Other reptiles, sure, but not one with seven heads. I wonder how many…”

Kara stopped in her tracks and stared at her partner. “Eves…we’re not here to seduce it…we’re here to kill it.”

Evie looked puzzled for a moment, before her enthusiasm visibly waned. “Oh. Well, that doesn’t sound nearly as fun.”

“Look, Eves, this is serious. This beast is dangerous and the town has lost many guards to it. And they’re paying us very well to do what their own soldiers cannot – this could lead to more lucrative jobs.”

“Well, I don’t care how much they offer us to stay – no way am I settling down in this podunk village.” Evie gestured animatedly. “I have the soul of an adventurer, Kares – I can’t be tied down to one place!”

“Mmmm-hmmm.” Kara murmured. “It’s about the only place you haven’t been tied down lately”

“Pffft!” Evie snorted. “Are you still jealous I hooked up with that kinky half-orc last week?”

“You KNOW I had a crush on him, Eves! And you left me with those gnome twins!”

“Mmmmm…twins are always fun…”

The girls’ banter was suddenly interrupted by screams from deep within the cave. A squad of soldiers had left the village a few hours ahead of them, and it seemed they had found the hydra’s lair.

“Alright, ready to do this?” Kara asked, her face taking on a serious and determined expression.

“Right there beside you, as always!” Evie nodded with a reassuring smile.

“Here we go again.” Kara nodded back. “Into the maw!”
