Denasha relaxed by the regeneration pool, watching human warriors Julia and Sonia bob in the reddened liquid before they came back to life.
The demoness was acutely aware that there was sinister plotting and planning going on among the other demonesses – she just didn’t concern herself with such mundane matters.
Not when there were other pleasures to be had.
She saw Lashala and Nashala whispering between rounds of resurrecting – and killing – Julia, Champion of the Tribes, and Sonia, Queen’s Champion, again and again.
Just before being killed by Lashala, Julia called out, as if to no one: “I need you.”
Denasha hear Lashala giggle and mutter, “stupid plaything is talking to herself!”
On the upper level, Queen of the Demonesses Akasha was in intense conversation with banshee demoness Vashala.
And the other banshee demoness Sabasha abruptly moved to join them.
Denasha was more interested, however, in watching Sychasa.
“I have to agree with you, Sychasa,” Denasha murmured from her seat alongside the pool.
“Tormenting humans gets me so hot, too…”

Denasha is an iteration of my OC Deena.

Here’s how the story in ‘One Realm: The Things She Sees’ has led to the point in the image above:
Denasha and Lashala had returned to the void, the part of the Infinite Realm where demonesses gather and the bodies of the dead are regenerated.
Humans Julia, Champion of the Tribes, and Sonia, Queen’s Champion, had already been sent to the void for regeneration and to service Akasha, Queen of the Demonesses.
Denasha and Lashala recovered the bodies of Julia and Sonia and brought them to Akasha.
No sooner had the human women regenerated than Akasha challenged them to face her Banshee – and they were promptly killed once again!
The human women were dumped into the regeneration pool, but they were not allowed to rest in peace.
The demonesses kept killing them again and again, tossing them back in the pool each time – but to what end?
How would Akasha use the powers she was drawing from the human women?
