Kara and Evie arrive at a crossroads inn and tavern to rest and recover for a couple days.

“Maybe a night with a handsome rogue or farm hand will help you forget about the troll,” Evie offered as they opened the door to the tavern. The two blonde adventuresses found the inn and tavern to be quaint and well kept – but awfully quiet, as they saw only a pretty barmaid and a couple serving girls, and a handful of female patrons.
“I might need a little more time to recover,” Kara replied. “Besides, I don’t see a single guy in this place yet.”
“Maybe it’s too early for the guys to knock off work?” Evie said hopefully. “But you’re right, we both could use a quiet night…and I really should be spoiling you and helping you recover – maybe give you a little pampering.”
“Yes…” Kara murmured, shooting Evie a side glance. “Yes you should…you still owe me big time.”
“Tell you what,” Evie nodded. “Let’s get some food and take it to a room upstairs. It will be just you and me tonight. We’ll stay here a couple nights, and tomorrow night we can come down here looking for some action.”
