“Agent Katie, report to my office,” Director Alucard barked through the phone.
“I have a new position in mind for you.”
Uh, oh. I must be in trouble again. To try and soften him up, I brought him a drink on a small tray. But when I went to set it on his side table, I saw that it was gone. In its place was a heavy eye-hook set into the floor.
“Umm…what happened to your end table?” I asked, sensing he was up to something…again…
“Ah, yes, my end table…I’m glad that you asked…”he replied with a devilish grin.
Well, he hadn’t been lying…he DID have a new position in mind for me…
