I create erotic prose and saucy adventures–with themes of sex and submission, damsels in distress, adventurers on risky quests, and secret agents who can’t stay out of trouble.
I’m a mom and a medical professional the majority of my time. When I get some private time, I get to indulge my writing compulsion and explore my submissive tendencies, and collaborate with some amazing fellow writers, artists and friends. I’ve been described as a MILF and a ‘Word Wench,’ and recently achieved the title, “Sorceress of Words.”
That’s right, my command of words will bewitch & arouse you–and cut you to the quick.
I’ve been posting my own stories and vignettes on DeviantArt, and I have collaborations with friends posted on their DeviantArt pages and Patreon. But never had a “home.”
Over the years I’ve spent most of my creative time on Tumblr. For over 5 years I curated a blog of 11,000 sexy, seductive, sensual posts and gathered over 10,000 followers (though yeah, lots were bots). I’ve also written many vignettes to go along with images I post, and collaborated on some super-sexy stories with friends there.
Until last Monday. I was shocked. My Tumblr always focused on the sensual, not the explicit. But I watched as image after image was flagged, with no rhyme or reason to it.
Tumblr’s decision to ban adult content may turn out to be one of the best things that’s happened to me in a long time. It’s prompting me to get out of my comfort zone and focus on creating instead of curating–and reaching out to a broader audience.
If you’re one of my friends from Tumblr following me here, or a Discord Ranger, or a fellow Deviant, I think you’ll be surprised to see some different sides of my creativity than you saw on that single platform.
Once I get around to getting some content on here, that is…be patient, please!!
When did freedom of expression suddenly become an online crime? When did an attack on a specific subset of any group ever work to the benefit of any institution?
In this bloggers humble opinion, Tumblr’s December 17th forced genocide of Adult Content blogs is just another example of how our society is slipping backwards in its level of tolerance towards anything that is different, preferring to have this type of content hidden away, and marked with a scarlet letter of intolerance and shame.
Are there issues revolving around certain types of blogs Yes. Child pornography and other unacceptably content is abhorrent to all. Is Tumblr going after those specific types of blogs? No. Are they setting up a system that blocks minors from accessing adult content blogs? No. They are preferring to follow a simplistic “nuke it all” approach rather than address the overall problem. Taking a M.A.D (mutually assured destruction) approach, can only end in one way, for without adult content, Tumblr will die off.
So my friends and followers(93k amazing individuals), I challenge you to reblog this note, and challenge Tumblr’s decision. Perhaps, if enough of us stand up and protest some good will come of it. Resist, and fight the good, and honourable, fight.
It makes me feel a bit sick that these people have won and now are gloating. My blog here is certainly done for (I’ve had non-explicit stuff tagged as sensitive since day 1 so doesn’t bother me personally so much) BUT what does bother me immensely is the hard work, dedication and effort of so many that will be wiped out arbitrarily.
I will truly miss the incredibly sexy blog http://tumblr.com/subkatie which is a carefully collected series of sensual images that do not violate Tumblr’s new rules, yet is already getting decimated.
To the gloaters enjoying their petty victory, to those who are frantically trying to flag every blog that isn’t cats or cupcakes: we pity you and your narrow minds and unfulfilled lives.
To the short-sighted corporate types who made the decision: I’d start stealing office supplies and working on you LinkedIn profiles. Those jobs aren’t going to stay yours for much longer.
